Miyako is training with many different fans as part of her studies in Odori (Fan Dance) lessons. Her most prized fan being the one given to her by her grandmother. Made of fool's gold and etched with lovely designs, it is something she has always carried with her. As part of her traditional dancing lessons she practices with fans for hours learning quick and graceful movements. Miyako has no formal or informal martial training.

Personality:
A first good impression is important to her and as such she always tries to go out of her way to be polite to someone, even if they are rude to her. She tries to make friends almost immediately and is never one to say no to trying new things. While she is good at keeping her emotions to herself her own opinion is another story. She likes to butt into other peoples lives and try to help, even though sometimes she doesn't clue in that people might not want her help. The only time she seems to be alone is when she goes off to find a secluded place to practice her dance steps or instruments. Always trying to be approachable, wanting people to be at ease around her, as if trying to strike that perfect balance between silence and conversation. From time to time she has been known to lose herself, thinking of others more then she does herself.

Due to her strict parents she is unused to doing anything too wild or crazy but seems to long after the opportunity and with enough prodding can be convinced to bend a rule or two. Even though she says she has a firm goal in mind of what she wants to do with her life she always seems to be trying to find herself be it in her music, dance, studies, physical activity or even classes. Leading her into new avenue's, which can sometimes end her up in trouble. Though she approaches everything with a calm exterior even if on the inside she is a bit panicked. Striving for some sort of perfection or tranquility in her life.

Strengths:
- Has her own big dreams which leads her to try and help others with their own goals

- Is very graceful and rarely trips or falls unless she tries something stupid

- Sometimes lacks concentration due to daydreaming

- Loneliness. Miyako doesn't like being left alone for long periods of time

History:
Miyako Ikeda was born to a rich household in Nagoya, her father works as a lawyer and her mother as a charity worker. She had a very restricted childhood and was often a spectator to her parents arguments. She took solace in her grandmother Sakura Ikeda, who took care of Miyako when her parents were too busy. Her grandmother was a geisha when she was a young woman and ended up retiring with her childhood sweetheart. Miyako idolized the life her grandmother had lived in the Hanamachi, dreaming of becoming a geisha herself. Her parents thought such things foolish and simply expected her to marry into a richer family.

So she begged her grandmother to teach her and began receiving informal lessons after school, studying in dance, music and the art of conversation. Though the recent escalation of her parents disapproval, and her father's work forcing her to change cities without notice has her questioning what she wants in life. Searching for a new high school her parents hoped that Higashimori would offer her more 'exciting' opportunities or perhaps a rich young man.

Miyako gave a respectful bow to the class before starting to speak. "Good Morning, my name is Ikeda Miyako. It is an honour to meet all of you." She was glad that so far everything seemed to be going well, realizing there had been no need to be shy. After all meeting new people and public speaking were all part of her training, she was going to make her grandmother proud. "I believe I was supposed to tell you something about myself? Well... I was born in Nagoya, and lived there until quite recently. I am very pleased to say that I am looking forward to meeting all of you and I hope that we may all become good friends, thank you." She bows once again to her classmates before politely asking the teacher where she should sit.
